Von seinem Aufenthalt hat er wie folgt berichtet:
„During my stay at IUL from November to December 2023, I investigated the "Effect of Ball Burnishing Post-Processing on the Mechanical Properties of Additive Parts Built by Powder Bed Fusion." My research revealed that the ball burnishing process can induce compressive residual stresses in additively manufactured sheets. While the process generally improves surface roughness, excessive pressure can lead to significant waviness on the sheet‘s surface. Additionally, although ball burnishing can enhance tensile strength, this benefit comes at the expense of reduced elongation. Throughout my stay, I gained valuable insights into the rapid pace of research at international laboratories and developed a deeper interest in the intricate field of additive manufacturing. My participation in Formnext further highlighted Germany's leading position in this sector. I am profoundly grateful to the Karl-Kolle Stiftung for their generous support, which made this visit possible.“
